my observations on everything right and wrong with the world - starting with myself.

The bachelor party weekend in New Orleans has finally come to a close. We accomplished what we came there for - to get Wayne drunk and to get him two CD's worth...

Now, on to some pictures, each followed by a brief caption.

Wayne posing with his box of shirts. The luggage handlers must have had a field day with the box. I'm amazed they didn't draw mustaches on it. Anyway, I need to thank them for putting the box on the luggage belt with the picture faced correctly towards the hundred or so people who were waiting for their luggage. I should have let it spin on the belt a few more times.

Waiting for beignets at Cafe du Monde, where the manager managed to confuse me for one of his employees. Damn my skin and that awesome paper hat.

One of our many party fouls. Yep, that's Marv using a straw to drink from the table. We had another party foul during the trip which involved moving a table over a party foul...right David?

Waiting for a slice of pizza at 3:00 in the morning. Damn, Nyawlins, do ya'll ever sleep?

OK. OK. one of us is on the shirt - which one is it?

Gerard, which shirt are you talking about?

Well...the shirt with this picture on the front:

Seriously, we had a pretty diverse range of Asians on the trip, and some people couldn't tell which one of us was really the one on the shirt. Well, at least we knew who wasn't on the shirt.

AND finally, the picture we've all been waiting for...what's better than seeing the look on Jay's face after the following picture was taken?

...seeing the look on Jay's face when he attempts an explanation.

Our story: we were walking and we lost Jay for a while, then we saw him walking out of this club...and he was taking pictures of its exterior with the camera on his phone.

Oh, and he had a huge smile on his face and he was covering the front of his pants.

That's our story. It may be partially true, but we're going to stick with it. I have the high-resolution picture available for anyone who wants it...

I have to apologize to the entire Indian-American and Indian community in India. I just found out that it's not completely your fault that Sanjaya is still a contender in American Idol.

It's because of these guys:

Now that I think about what they're doing...I don't mind...because at least they agree that Sanjaya sucks...and now that I read more into it...

hmm...

GO Sanjaya! sing like the no-talent asshat that you are! sing like there's no end to your craptacular hair!

I recently had a none-too-pleasant experience with Craigslist, so I decided to resort to eBay to get rid of something. Since listings are only 20 cents today, I decided to get a little creative in my auction description. Check it out here.

a donk with clear 30" wheels. oh. my. god.

When my coworker and I went to Florida for a few weeks last year, I saw my first donk on the street...and it looked pretty stupid - but not as stupid as this:

that takes the cake and eats it too.

30" tires!!! imaging how much those things weigh...do they even have Hunter machines that can mount and balance those properly?

I also learned a new term today - treys...first dubs, now treys...what's next - forties? ...but then they'll be confused because what does the forty refer to - the fermented malt beverage in my hand or the wheels?

the world is truly coming to an end...and Florida is the first place to go.

So, Shannon and I have been indulging in the basest form of entertainment possible - watching American Idol. Well, we've actually indulged for the past two seasons...but anyway, this season has got to be the worst popularity contest EVER.

What's the deal with Sanjaya Malakar?

It seems that Shannon and I aren't the only people who thought that Sundance Head should have been in the Top 12...as made evident here, and here.

However, some people do support him...and my opinion is that they support him not because of talent, but because of ethnicity...as supported by this comment from my first link:

this is why our founding fathers didn't believe in pure democracy. There are over 1 billion people in India. They can all vote online if they want. America, Sanjaya will be your next American idol. There needs to be checks and balances with this system. The judges' opinions have to be given some weight. Total travesty. He is, by far, the least talented of all the 24 contestants. His appearance and mannerisms sicken me and his voice does absolutely nothing to make up for it.

Yep. This guy predicted the future - I also believe that Sanjaya is going to win it this year.

Does he suck - yep.
Does he have at least one billion supporters - yep.

As much as I enjoy Bollywood, I'm not Indian...but I'm sure that there are emails circulating in the Indian community to support Sanjaya because he's Indian (or really, half-Indian). I mean, whenever there are Filipino contestants on American Idol, I always end up getting an email from family...but it's funny though...AJ was half-filipino, but I didn't receive any emails from Filipinos encouraging blind support for him...

was it because he's half-Portuguese? was it because he was a little effeminate?

who knows...

Anyway, in other news, do you use google on a daily, if not on an hourly basis?

If so, win stuff by using google (and help me, while you're at it).

Blingo sounds like a good idea and at no cost or decreased utility to standard google...it's funny that it's sponsored by Publishers' Clearing House - especially since the market for magazines has decreased tremendously since the rise of the Interweb, leveraging off of something online was their next step...

There doesn't seem to be any catch to using it, so hey, I figure, I'll give it a try and see if I win anything...
