A couple of videos for tonight.

This drummer is obviously listening to different music in his head:

I haven't played Guitar Hero in a while, but of all of the Guitar Hero videos I've seen, this is the best:

I finally got a chance to watch The Dark Knight at the local $1.50 theater...and maybe I'm the only clueless fool, but I really don't see what the hype is with the Joker.

Here's the Joker:

Yeah, it's a dark character.

Sure, it's played by Heath Ledger, who is now dead.

But seriously, there were two other characters who made the movie memorable. The first was Aaron Eckhart's 'Two-Face' - White Knight turns vigilante out for revenge against the guys who led to Rachel's untimely death (played by Maggie Gyllenhall - I don't care if I didn't spell her name correctly...it's just that whenever I see her, I either think of a super kinky secretary or I really really want a cookie).

Anyway, I think the Harvey Dent/Two-Face character was well-played and developed. The Joker's character? Yeah, he was strange, but seriously, the only apparently dark thing he did was making a pencil disappear early in the movie. Whenever my friends and coworkers would tell me about the movie, they would all say that the Joker was a very dark character.

Am I missing something?

If I was in a dark room and if there existed a challenge in which the goal was to make me shart upon entry of another person in the room, I think Two-Face walking in the room would make me shart and I would be forced to change my underwear. On the other hand, if the Joker walked in, I may *almost* shart just because I'm scared of clowns, but seriously, I'm more scared of people with half of their face totally jacked up to the point where their freaking eyeball magically stays lodged in the socket even though there's nothing holding it in.

This literally scares the crap out of me:

The Joker was nuts, but he made sense to me. Anarchy as a sadomasochistic delivery of criminal acts with no apparent purpose other than to tell the story of how you got the scars on your face? Yeah, it makes sense. I have scars on my face too. An eyeball staying in the socket...teeth exposed because of no lips...and the ability to manually drain your sinuses on one side of your face without special tools - that is something that will result in two nightlights being on in the bedroom for quite a few weeks while I attempt to sleep.

OK. The next character who made the movie memorable - Deebo! Yes folks, Deebo (Sonny Lister jr.) makes a cameo appearance as a criminal.

Who is Deebo? This guy:

Anyway, it seems like Craig and Smokey finally got the best of Deebo and were able to put him behind bars - in Gotham City, of all places. When I watched the scene with Deebo, I thought somebody's chain or bike was going to get stolen - either that or somebody was about to get knocked the fuck out. I sure was wrong. I guess Deebo found salvation while locked up and it turns out that he's developed compassion for his fellow man, or at least, the men and women in the other ferry. Deebo, you've shown that the penal system does have hope.

The scene with Deebo would have been more poignant if he had said "What you got with my detonator?"

Oh, and Southern California is on fire. I actually literally just found out when I watched the news tonight. Yeah, I'm in my own world.

Other than that, I still can't believe I watched a movie in a theater for $1.50. If I wanted to, I could have stayed and watched another movie...and being a smartass, I would have paid for it. I mean seriously, when was the last time you spent $1.50 and received entertainment for almost three hours?

I guess I'm on a roll with the musical bits...anyway, the second best soundtrack of the NES 8-bit generation (first place is the Legend of Zelda)...presenting Super Mario Brothers 2:

I think this would have been about three times more awesome if they superimposed each video on the original - so it would have looked like the guy had four hands.

...and now for some jazz flute (Ron Burgundy not included):

and in other news, the 'b','n','down arrow', and 'spacebar' on my keyboard are broken thanks to spilled water. The on-screen keyboard in Vista sucks!
