so I found another outlet to waste ten minutes of the day on...
I'm the President/CEO/Prime Minister of my own nation online. I face two issues every weekday. I attempted to model my initial nation-creation (that rhymes) after Plato's "Republic"...but I guess I made a few incorrect decisions.

The Republic of Flipmack is a tiny, pleasant nation, notable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 5 million are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.
The medium-sized, corrupt government is effectively ruled by the Department of Law & Order, with areas such as Social Welfare and Religion & Spirituality receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 15%. A healthy private sector is led by the Cheese Exports, Beef-Based Agriculture, and Basket Weaving industries.
Crime is a problem. Flipmack's national animal is the pot-bellied pig and its currency is the pinoy.
